Individual Ketamine Sessions

A Focused Encounter, Held in Relationship

Individual ketamine sessions offer a space for direct, immersive experience, supported by a carefully created environment and attentive human presence.

Ketamine can open a window in which familiar patterns begin to loosen. Thoughts, emotions, and perceptions may feel less fixed, allowing something new to emerge. In these sessions, our focus is not on directing that process, but on creating the conditions in which you can enter it fully and stay with what unfolds.

Individual ketamine sessions with Cardea is a distinct way of working, centered on the encounter itself and held within a relational field that is responsive, steady, and attuned.

These sessions can be experienced as a single encounter or as part of a series, depending on what you are seeking. Some people come for a discrete experience, while others return to deepen and extend the work over time.

What makes this work meaningful is not the medicine alone, but the environment in which the experience unfolds and the presence of those who are there with you. Before the session, we meet in dialogue, not to assess or direct, but to help you come into contact with what feels most present, uncertain, or important. Rather than moving quickly to conclusions, we stay close to what is emerging.

During the session, ketamine is typically administered as a nasal spray, allowing for flexibility and responsiveness as the experience unfolds. You are supported throughout by facilitators who remain attentive to your comfort and to the overall environment. In many cases, we work with live sound, shaped in real time in response to what is happening, creating a subtle but ongoing dialogue that supports depth and continuity.

After the session, there is time to rest, followed by a conversation that helps you remain in relationship with what emerged. We are not trying to resolve or explain the experience, but to support a process of staying with it, allowing it to continue to unfold over time.

In contrast to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, where the experience is integrated into an ongoing therapeutic relationship, individual sessions do not center psychotherapy as the primary process. And unlike group sessions, where the presence of others becomes part of the experience, this work offers a more private and inward encounter.

What remains constant is the emphasis on relationship, not as interpretation or intervention, but as presence. Someone is there with you, attending, adjusting, and helping to hold the space as it shifts.

There is no single way people come into this work. Some arrive with clear intentions, others with questions or uncertainty. Our role is not to define the process in advance, but to meet you where you are and help create the conditions for something real to happen.

How do I learn more?

The first step is to set up a free virtual consultation with us, where we’ll share more about what the experience is like, how to prepare, and answer any questions you have. If you decide to move forward, we’ll conduct a medical evaluation with our doctor.
