Group Ketamine Experiences

A collective encounter, shaped by presence

We offer group ketamine sessions as both a more accessible option and a distinct form of experience—one shaped not only by the medicine, but by the presence of others. In contrast to individual sessions, where the focus is on a person’s direct encounter with their own experience, group sessions introduce something additional: the possibility of being affected by, and connected to, others in the room.

The Power of Communitas

Communitas: the experience of being connected to others in a shared human process.

Research in social psychology suggests that it is often difficult to sustain personal change without a sense of connection to others. We are shaped in relationship, and we are changed in it.

Drawing from the anthropology of ritual, we have developed a secular approach to group work designed to evoke what is called communitas—a felt sense of shared experience and connection that can support both psychological and emotional processing.

How It Works

The group experience unfolds in a series of phases that help create continuity from beginning to end, allowing people to settle in, enter the experience, and return at their own pace.

Opening

The group begins with a shared creative process—simple, pressure-free artistic expression. This process has nothing to do with artistic skill or what you end up creating, but is meant to help people settle in, become more open, and begin to connect with one another.

Guests are invited to reflect and share as they feel comfortable, allowing a sense of shared presence to begin forming before the session.

The Session

Each participant enters their own experience within a live sound ceremony, guided by two or more sound practitioners trained in our model of sound work.

As the session unfolds, they move through the room, often attending to individuals—listening, responding, and shaping the sonic environment in real time. This is not a fixed soundtrack, but a living process, one that follows and interacts with what is happening moment to moment.

This approach to sound—live, relational, and responsive at the level of the individual—is uncommon in ketamine care. It reflects our belief that the environment itself should remain in dialogue with the person’s experience.

Though each person’s experience is internal, this creates a shared field that is dynamic and responsive—where sound, presence, and experience are in ongoing relationship. The awareness of others, and of being attended to within this environment, often deepens the experience in a way that is both subtle and powerful.

After

Following the session, participants are invited to gather and reflect on their experience as they feel ready. Some choose to share, while others prefer quiet or solitude.

Both are welcomed. The aim is not to process in any prescribed way, but to allow each person to come back in their own time, while remaining in the presence of others.

Integration

We offer ongoing opportunities for integration following the group experience.

Rather than treating the experience as something to be resolved, we encourage people to stay in relationship with what emerged—to return to it, reflect on it, and allow it to continue to unfold in their lives.

Because change does not happen in isolation—it deepens through continued encounter, with oneself and with others.

How do I learn more?

The first step is to set up a free virtual 30-minute consultation with us, where we’ll share more about how the group works, what to expect, and answer any questions you have.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll conduct a medical evaluation with our doctor.
