Cardea has an ongoing partnership with Ambio focused on its detox program. Drawing on decades of experience in ibogaine, harm reduction, and working with people who use drugs, Cardea’s consultation has helped shape an approach to detox that moves away from predetermined measures of success and instead begins with the goals people define for themselves.

Cardea provides ongoing consultation to Ambio’s detox program and facilitates retreats with the detox staff. This work creates space for the team to reflect on their practice, strengthen relationships, examine the challenges that emerge in the work, and continue developing a model of care grounded in harm reduction, creativity, deep listening, and respect for individual agency.
